Once you’ve made a reservation and paid, you’ll receive an email acknowledging your request. Please check that your reservation details are correct. We will email you within 3 working days to confirm your booking or to suggest alternatives in the event that the expert cannot accommodate your request. If you don’t hear from us within 3 working days, or if the reservation details are incorrect, please contact us at reservation@straitsjourneys.com.  

On the day of the experience, please bring along a printed or mobile version of your confirmation email for verification, as well as a valid photo ID. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time.   
A private experience is tailored and organized around your schedule and interests. There’ll be no other individuals joining the group. A group experience is open to anyone who registers (usually up to eight people) and follows a pre-set itinerary.
Yes, most experiences require at least 2 participants to run. If there aren’t enough people, we may contact you on behalf of the expert to propose a different session.
If your desired dates are not available, please contact us at reservation@straitsjourneys.com with your scheduling request. We will contact the expert to check their availability and get back to you as soon as possible.

All experiences are conducted in English unless stated. If you choose one of the alternative language offered, please make sure you select the correct date and time for your experience.
Yes, you can buy an experience for another person. Make sure they bring the confirmation email and a valid ID on the day of the experience.
Yes, some of our experiences are catered specifically to individuals with disabilities. These activities are indicated by the accessibility icon beside the title. For specific accessibility requests, please contact us at reservation@straitsjourneys.com .
You should receive an email from us within 3 working days to confirm the status of your reservation. If your reservation is pending, it may be because there aren't enough people for a group experience or we’re still discussing the details of your request. If you don’t hear from us within 3 working days, please contact us at reservation@straitsjourneys.com.
Currently all payments must be made via our online platform. We accept major debit and credit cards that are 3D Secure. Please feel free to tip the experts and guides in person if you enjoy the experience. Gratuities are not included in the fees.
Yes. We take your security very seriously. All credit card information is stored remotely with a Level 1 PCI compliant service provider. All sensitive information is passed to that provider through a secure (SSL) connection.
For some of our experiences, experts have chosen to donate their earnings to charities or non-profit organisations, such as environmental or heritage trusts. These experiences are marked as 'social initiatives'.
