旅游体验重点
According to the International Labor Organization, nearly one in ten children around the world is subject to child labour. The highest number of children aged 5 to 17 engaged in child labour were found in Africa (72.1 million) and followed by Asia and the Pacific (62 million). Approximately one third of children aged 5 to 14 engaged in child labour are outside the education system. 38 per cent of children ages 5 to 14 are involved with hazardous work and almost two-thirds of those aged 15-17 work more than 43 hours per week. Dr Ng will share his experience as the Director of Operations of the Programme of the Elimination of Child Labor, including on the ground projects in Asia. Dr Ng will also discuss the historical and cultural aspects of child labor, and the impact of child labor in family and the local communities in SE Asia. Furthermore, he will analyze the economic impact of social programs and education and how governments and multi-nationals can shape policies on child labor.
